Playing with layers in Photoshop (Elements)

The following is what Ive produced after my first foray into the wonderful world of digital photo-manipulation. High school was the last time I used photoshop with any intention to create. Up until recently, the most Id ever do with a photo would be to alter the contrast or exposure levels...maybe tinker with some colour correction...Even when I studied photography in college,
I'd spend my time in the lab, burning and dodging under the lamps, instead of getting screenburn infront of computers. Turns out there's alot Ive been missing out on! so Ive been spending quite a bit of time messing around with some old photos to learn some new tricks...I spent about 6hr on average per collage...

Cruisin' around Downtown T.O.

I had a few hours of free time to wander around during a recent trip to Toronto, Ont.
Naturally, I brought my camera to capture some sights of the sprawling city! It was overcast in the morning, but the clouds broke by the afternoon...I took approx. 450 shots over a 6 hr period, and have culled the better ones for your viewing pleasure! Enjoy!

Happy Halloween from the Harbourfront!!

People enjoying their lunch break in the most exotic food court Ive ever seen!

The owner of the van showed up right as they were about to tow it away...the bylaw officer gave him the ticket anyway (of course!) but the tow-truck operator was slightly more generous and let his car off the hook!

A self-portrait in the street, with strangers passing by.

Horses and Cows in the countryside!

These Arabian horses belong to my friend's mom, who keeps them at her house. The brown one is 17 years old and the grey one is his half-sibling. They were very curious and loving, and gratefully gobbled the apples from our hands! Their mare is in pic 4/5, and she is, 25 years old!

I managed to get a few shots of these cattle while driving through Prince Edward County. Though they retreated when I first approached, but soon came back with a quiet curiousity about who I was and what I was doing there. It was an amuuusing experience!
